"A delightful, tranquil Holiday Cottage located on the magical Isle of Skye"

Our Skye Holiday cottage is situated 5 miles south of Portree and is set well back from the township road.

Located on a small working croft in the community of Braes, it is an ideal base from which to explore Skye.

With lovely views across the Sound of Raasay and nestling amongst the wild heather moorland this is a place to find peace, solitude and a complete sense of timelessness.

The crofting hamlet has a scattering of houses along a quiet road and is a haven for a variety of birds and wildlife. Set against a hillside, this is a lovely peaceful situation and an easy walk leads down to a shingle shore 1/4 mile away.

Over the top of the hill behind the house, is a loch, which has been stocked with trout. Pony trekking, golf and climbing are within easy reach of Braes.

Skye lies close to the Scottish mainland, yet retains a remote quality. The island provides some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in Scotland as well as a spectacular 1,000 mile coastline ranging from quiet sandy bays to high rugged cliffs.
